Advanced Composites Course Starting 2018 Course Duration: 4.5 days. An intensive and varied course covering the use of composite materials including Carbon Fibre, Glass Fibre and Kevlar, focusing on resin infusion and vacuum assist. This practical course includes enough of the ‘science’ to provide a working understanding of the materials and what they are capable of. Advanced Composite Repair
Advanced Composite Repair Starting 2018 Course Duration: 4.5 days. This entirely hands on course covers how to carry out repairs to boats manufactured from advanced composites, both single skin and sandwich construction. Students first manufacture a carbon fibre hull section using vacuum infusion techniques to which a variety of faults/damage will be introduced and which they then learn to rectify/repair.
